Carsten Wreth was appointed CEO of Telefónica Global Services in January 2010.

Prior to this position, Carsten Wreth worked as Managing Director Service Technology (CIO) of Telefónica O2 Germany GmbH & Co. OHG for more than two years. He started his career with Telefónica O2 Germany in 2004 as Vice President Customer Services before he assumed the position as Senior Vice President Customer Services in 2006.
Prior to this position, he worked as Director Services for Telecoms & Media for Microsoft EMEA for two years and before that as Senior Vice President Customer Operation of KPNQwest from 1999 to 2002. Moreover, Carsten Wreth looks back on eight years of experience as a consultant for Gemini Consulting. From 1992 to 1999 he was a member of the European Telecoms & Media Leadership Team of Gemini Consulting.
