Joachim Kugoth, O2 Vice President Human Resources in Germany
»Our ambition is to be one of the best employers in Germany. To measure where we stand in terms of being one of the best employers in Germany, we participate in an international competition, the 'Great Place to Work' every year. This year, we reached the third place in the category 'companies with more than 5,000 employees'. How do we achieve that? On the one hand, we have invested a lot in our employees' environment. Two years ago, we opened our nursery, and we do a lot to promote sports and health. The second priority is around the issue of leadership of our top management. All surveys reflect that the well-being of employees is the key driver of success.«
2008 was all about employee motivation and satisfaction. Great care was taken to make the working environment at O2 ever more attractive. In order to excite our customers about our products, we need dedicated and motivated employees who love working for O2 and who are confident about O2 as their company. That is why we believe in the motto: Let's turn our customers into fans by turning our employees into fans! For that reason O2 wants to create a working environment where every single one of our employees is motivated and enjoys working to achieve the goals of our company.
