
The objective of this report is to provide our employees, customers, suppliers, investors, politicians, government authorities and non-government organisations with transparent and comprehensive information on how we promote sustainable development as a company. The report highlights which key social, ecological and economic challenges are associated with our core business and which strategies we have developed to pursue them.

Framework
We have based the preparation of our data on the current guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), in order to make it easier for our readers to draw comparisons with other companies. The report therefore meets the requirements of the GRI in relation to the range of issues addressed. We also take the specific requirements of the GRI for telecommunications sector into account.
Figures relate to the period between 1 January and 31 December 2009. This applies in particular to the key indicators.
Review
We have drawn up this report on the basis of the reporting principles and criteria of the AA1000 AccountAbility Principles Standards (2008) and the criteria of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI-G3).
