"Be there together" with O2 Crew

You and your friends can enjoy exclusive events for free
MUNICH/Germany. Whether it's Amy Macdonald, NENA, Rihanna, the Black Eyed Peas or the comedians from the QUATSCH Comedy Club: in 2010, Telefónica O2 Germany is paving the way for free live entertainment in the hippest locations in Düsseldorf, Cologne, Stuttgart, Munich and the O2 World in Berlin and O2 World in Hamburg. The key to it all is O2 Crew. Simply register at www.o2crew.de, become a member, invite friends and win tickets. After all, events with a group of friends are much more fun, as the O2 Crew motto "Be there together" suggests.
As a forerunner in the organisation of free concerts with "O2 Music Flash", O2 has been making great entertainment available since as far back as 2005. Then, in 2008, the O2 World events arena opened in Berlin. At the same time, the "O2 World on tour" mobile arena started its tour through Germany. Over the last two years, it has featured top acts for weeks at a time in selected cities across the country. In 2010 the O2 World Hamburg will become part of the entertainment network of O2. O2 Crew is the new highlight in this development. With the MTV EMAs in November 2009, O2 Crew offered the first proof of its future potential: within four weeks, around 16,000 partygoers registered as crew members on the O2 website and the 600 winners were able to experience the award ceremony at first hand in the O2 World. This year it all kicks off on 19 April 2010 at the E-Werk in Cologne with a concert of Amy Macdonald, whose album just entered the German Top 100 Album Charts at number one. The concert in Cologne will be followed by concerts at Stuttgart's LKA, the Stahlwerk in Düsseldorf and Munich's TonHalle on 20, 21 and 22 April. Dance events are also planned in these four cities. Further highlights include the concerts by NENA, Rihanna and the Black Eyed Peas on 24 April, 2 May and 15 May in the O2 World, for which tickets will be available for free via O2 Crew. The QUATSCH Comedy Club will be hosted by Munich's P1 on 28 April, by the Theaterhaus in Stuttgart on 4 May, and by Cologne's E-Werk on the following day. The first event at the O2 World Hamburg will be the concert of Lady Gaga on 10 May 2010. O2 Crew members will have the chance to win up to 500 tickets and special services for free. The website www.o2crew.de is at the heart of it all. O2 customers can register here and form a crew that it will be their job to captain. This means using text messages, e-mails or social networking sites to invite their friends to register on the O2 Crew website. Customers of other providers can also become crew members. The crew captain then has the opportunity to win free tickets to the events with their crew. For each event, O2 gives participants a strategy that might well lead to victory. For example, the most hardworking captains can win up to 100 tickets or more for themselves and their crews. There are also tempting additional prizes such as a shuttle service, free drinks at the event or seats in a special area. As last year with O2 World on tour, O2 can once again rely on Nokia as a partner in 2010. Nokia is supporting O2 Crew in offering outstanding live entertainment in the areas of music, dance, comedy and cinema. Further information available at: www.o2crew.de
