New O2 benefits world: buy online and phone for free

MUNICH. Telefónica O2 Germany and Freiminuten.de are now offering their customers a new benefits world: O2 customers can collect points when making a purchase in one of over 100 online shops and exchange these for free credit, for example, or take advantage of regular top offers.
Just right for online shoppers: customers with contracts and prepaid customers receive virtual free minutes for every purchase in one of over 100 online partner shops at http://o2.freiminuten.de. These are points, which can be redeemed online in a simple process and converted into credit. Well-known brands and providers such as Adidas, Otto and Deutsche Bahn are taking part in the campaign. Depending on the provider, you get virtual free minutes per purchase price or per purchase. "In this campaign, customers not only benefit from exclusive sales campaigns and attractive offers from our partner shops, but can also reduce their monthly mobile phone bill considerably", explains Dr. Wolfgang Wallauer, Head of Advertising Services at Telefónica O2 Germany. The special part is that the virtual free minutes that users receive when making a purchase are worth 10 cents and can also be taken into account for flatrates. It doesn't matter whether it's a mobile or Internet tariff. O2 automatically deducts the corresponding amount from the monthly bill. Points can also be collected and redeemed in subsequent months. "In the future our mobile customers are going to profit from a variety of new benefits.
