The new tariff option can be combined with any O2 contract, the owner of the Family Five option must, however, be an O2 postpaid customer. To use the option, parents can go to an O2 shop or visit the customer area at o2.de and define up to five O2 telephone numbers. Each "Family Five" participant can then be reached by all other participants at any time and for free via an individual quick dial number.
One of the key benefits of this offer, in addition to increased security for children, is the improved cost control: the monthly charge of ten euros is added to the mobile phone bill of one of the parents. If required, up to four free prepaid cards can also be ordered for the rest of the family at www.o2.de/familyfive. These can be used and topped up just like any other O2 prepaid card. This means each child can be provided with their own personal monthly budget, independent of the "Family Five" telephone numbers. The free cards use the O2 o Prepaid tariff.
The minimum contract term of the "Family Five" option is three months; following this period, cancellation is possible at any time to the end of the respective month.
