O2 Business presents new M2M platform

MUNICH. Telefónica Germany is providing its business customers with a new platform for mobile communication from machine to machine (M2M). With the M2M management portal of O2 Business, companies can easily control the SIM cards of their devices by means of a website.
The service is aimed at small and medium-sized companies as well as major customers that have set up an M2M tariff with Telefónica Germany. The associated Internet portal is operated in Telefónica's data centre in Frankfurt, which is subject to extremely high security requirements. Users merely require individual login details to access the website, so that they can manage their SIM cards and provide them with specific configurations.
"M2M will fundamentally change almost every industry in the next few years", says Johannes Pruchnow, Managing Director Business Telefónica Germany. "For example, we see particular potential in the health sector, in the logistics industry and in property management. Our new M2M platform offers business customers the necessary tools to make their business processes even more efficient and to guarantee trouble-free operation." The functions of the platform are particularly easy to use. For example, M2M customers of Telefónica Germany can activate or deactivate their SIM cards for individual networks, assign them to particular clients and carry out various real-time analyses with just a few clicks of the mouse. In this way they can keep a constant eye on their data connections and costs. Click on the following link to go to the new M2M platform: http://m2m.o2business.de
