All O2 LTE high-speed areas on air until mid-2013
MUNICH. Telefónica Germany continues expanding LTE in urban areas. Munich and Berlin go live as high-speed areas on 31 March, with Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Duisburg and Essen to follow in Q2. In parallel, the LTE network is being strengthened in the already developed high-speed areas Frankfurt, Cologne, Nuremberg, Dresden and Leipzig.
In 2013, O2 customers in all high-speed areas across Germany will benefit from super-fast mobile Internet. "Alongside the roll-out, the development in the LTE network is a key priority this year," says René Schuster, CEO of Telefónica Deutschland. "VoLTE represented a breakthrough for us under real conditions, allowing us to offer customers best sound quality and reliability for their calls in the future." O2 offers also for LTE high-speed surfing the fitting tariffs and latest devices. With the new O2 Blue All-In L and XL with a maximum speed of up to 50 Mbps up to either 2 GB or 5 GB, mobile Internet is really fun - calls and SMS included. Customers who like to surf the web with their tablet or laptop at LTE high-speed choose the O2 Go tariffs. With the O2 My Handy package you get the fitting LTE smartphones, too. Brand new is the top LTE smartphone HTC One priced at 661 euros, with a one-off one euro payment and 27.50 euros per month for two years. Beats by Dr Dre earphones are included for free - a 99-euro value.
