Competition for self-employed workers and entrepreneurs:
Winners of O2 #MeinBusiness campaign introduced
The winners of the O2 #MeinBusiness campaign have been determined: In February, small businesses and self-employed workers had been invited to introduce their businesses in Telefónica’s nationwide campaign. More than 370 participants sent in short videos and exceptional stories about their companies, gaining the chance to win an advertising campaign worth 20,000 Euros. According to Telefónica’s slogan: support our customers’ lifestyle in the best possible way.
An open online voting, in which more than 28.000 people participated, and a famous expert jury have now determined the winners. Having prevailed against several competitors, they are now introduced on the O2 #MeinBusiness website. First, the internet community picked the 20 best companies and the winner of that round automatically entered the top five. Then a group of famous jurors from the German digital scene picked four additional winners and determined the winner of the first prize. It will be handed over to the very sweet start-up KEKSZauber.
Cookie ambassador: #MeinBusiness winner says it sweetly
On KEKSZauber's website, customers can order and send sweet greetings. “Write Cookie-Mail now,” reads the first step of the online order. You enter your message into a form, upon which it will be baked in letter-shaped cookies and sent to the receiver in a pretty box with a greeting card. “KEKSZAUBER is my personal favorite because, nowadays, gifts ordered online tend to be impersonal and quickly chosen,” says jury member Verena Pausder, founder of Fox & Sheep, a company that programs apps for pre-school kids. “KEKSZAUBER is a great exception.” The young company from Regensburg can not only look forward to an advertising package worth 20,000 Euros tailored to the needs of their business, but also a website, outdoor advertising, online banners, digital support from O2, marketing strategies and even communication coaching. The start-up entrepreneurs, who use only certified organic ingredients for their tasty treats, can kick off even further now and win over even more customers. “I think it’s great how Telefónica supports self-employed workers and small companies,” says jury member Florian Haller, CEO of the Serviceplan Group. “The high number of participants in the #MeinBusiness campaign shows that there is a need to introduce one’s business on a strong platform.”
For winners: Digital products and solutions from O2
Runner-up was an online platform for lost, found and stolen things: On the website Zentrales Fundbüro (Central Lost&Found) or its matching app, owners can look for missing belongings and finders can report those things. For public authorities, as well as businesses, the online lost-and-found office provides an easy software solution to further facilitate the process of finding and reporting lost goods. Another handy offer called Abigrafen won the third prize: The shop for senior-class students offers a variety of products designed for students in their last year of school. From yearbooks to printed school T-shirts or tips and checklists to download; from logo-stickers to all kinds of equipment for traditional German graduation customs, there’s nothing you can’t find. Teachers should remember this website as well. Foodvibes scored fourth place. It is a marketplace for regional delicacies that does not only send its customers a new surprise box full of hand-chosen treats and recipes for a healthy lifestyle every month, but also gives one Euro per box to charity for regional and sustainable development projects in Germany. The fifth place went to Imkerei Ahrens, one of few professional beekeepers in Northern Germany. This company, too, has an internet presence with its online shop and is now looking forward to support from O2 #MeinBusiness.
The next step: Telefónica encourages entrepreneurship
All five winners receive digital products and solutions by O2 to help promote their firms, as well as an expert analysis of their business. In addition, they are able to attend an exclusive business coaching with juror Frank Thelen. The successful businessman is known in particular as an investor and jury member in the German TV show Die Höhle der Löwen on Vox. These attractive prizes help businesses step up to the next level of success. With its O2 #MeinBusiness campaign, Telefónica supports the promotion of an entrepreneurial spirit and innovational products to further businesses in Germany. For this reason, not only the winners themselves profit from the competition, but all participants that entered via o2online.de/meinbusiness. On this O2 website, participants present themselves to the broad public. Where else can they so easily reach so many readers and an attractive backlink from O2 for their website?
