The successful brand BASE is being relaunched as an online-only offer. In future, BASE will call the online world its home entirely. For instance, the BASE Light tariff includes a flat-rate for fixed lines and German mobile networks, as well as 2 GB of browsing at LTE speed for only 9.99 Euros per month. For 19.99 Euros per month customers receive the BASE Light tariff in combination with the well-liked Samsung Galaxy A3 for a one-off payment of 0 Euros (total price of the device over 24 months: 276 Euros) and 29.99 Euros connection fee. The new BASE offers are directed at new customers only. The transferal of former BASE customers to the premium brand O2, which started in February, will not be affected. This is due to the fact that former customers of the BASE brand prefer multi-channel offerings and value comprehensive service and assistance highly. This way, Telefónica stays true to its focused multi-brand strategy: Each customer is served optimally regarding tariff, service and assistance.
