Telefónica O2 Germany publishes 2009 Corporate Responsibility Report

MUNICH/Germany. Telefónica O2 Germany has published its 2009 Corporate Responsibility Report entitled 'Telecommunications For a Sustainable Society'. In it, the integrated communications company provides information about key performance indicators for 2009 and its commitment to customers, employees and society, as well as its CR goals for 2010. In close connection with its core business, O2 is committed to the development of innovative solutions in the areas of media competence and digital access - particularly for people with disabilities, in data and youth protection, and climate and environmental protection. The parent company, Telefónica S.A., is listed as the sector's leading company in terms of sustainability in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. Since 2003, Telefónica O2 Germany has also been informing the public about its social commitment on an annual basis. The 2008 Corporate Responsibility Report ranked seventh among German sustainability reports, and it was the best report in its industry.
