Digital Phone from O2:

Cloud-based telephone system for business customers

MUNICH. Today, Telefónica Germany brings its latest cloud offer on the market: Digital Phone from O2 is a telephone system for business customers. For less than 10 Euros per month and seat, the customer receives over 160 high-end features of a highly modern cloud-based telephone system as well as flat rates for calls into all German mobile phone and landline networks.
For this, Telefónica cooperates with one of the leading providers of cloud-based telephone systems. Digital Phone combines the attractive services from O2 with the complete functionality of the famous solution of NFON. Instead of having to install an inflexible hardware-based telephone system, that can cost thousands of Euros for purchase or leasing and often is very difficult to extend, companies simply make their phone calls via the cloud. Only an Internet access and suitable end devices are necessary for this and this keeps the acquisition costs at an extremely low level. Due to using redundant datacenters in Germany, Digital Phone from O2 achieves the highest level of reliability and best sound quality.

Digital Phone from O2: The next generation of business telephony

“The Digital Phone from O2 is the new generation of business telephony and our next step to the digital workplace of the future. With O2 Unite, we just recently started a revolution in mobile phone services by simply abolishing the old style traditional tariffs. Digital Phone from O2 now extends this revolution into the fixed network”, says Tony Hanway, Chief Commercial Officer at Telefonica Germany. “Our new cloud-based telephone system is individually scalable and ensures the highest flexibility and cost efficiency in companies. But the main advantage are the included flat rates for calls into the mobile phone and fixed network. This is really unique on the German Market.” Desk telephones for Internet telephony or simply the PC or an app on the smartphone can be used to make phone calls. Thus, employees can be reached all over the world with the same landline number and their extension, where Internet is accessible. Even a bug-proof encryption of phone calls is possible when required.

Never pay too much: The telephone system adapts

New seats can be added or removed anytime to make it possible for companies to flexibly adapt the telephone system to their development. Business customers thus only have to pay what they really need and can save up to 50 percent of their telephone costs. The administration of the seats and all functions of the digital telephone system can easily be managed via a website. The basic package with five seats is only 49 Euros net per month. Due to the flat rates, it offers unlimited phone calls in all German mobile phone and landline networks (except special phone numbers). And when business customers decide to combine their new cloud-based telephone system with the mobile service from O2 they only have to pay 39.20 Euros net per month. Every additional seat is 12 Euros net a month – or 9.60 Euros when combined with mobile phone network. The only prerequisite to use it is an Internet access. And the next cloud services for business customers will be introduced in a few weeks. More information is available at http://o2business.de/digitalphone.
