"No company can afford to waste money," says Karsten Pradel, Director B2B at Telefónica Germany responsible for the business customer segment. "Data volumes, voice minutes and SMS are standard services today. A comparison is therefore always worthwhile, but has so far often been made difficult by a lack of transparency in discounts and offers. This is exactly where we put an end to. O2 Business offers fair solutions for business customers. At the same time, our online tariff calculator contributes to more transparency in the B2B mobile communications market.” Innovative online tariff calculator for full transparency Nowadays, the majority of decision-makers inform themselves about products and services exclusively online, before seeking a personal meeting with the sales staff. This is why O2 Business continues to invest heavily in its online channels. This includes the innovative online tariff calculator, which business customers can use to put together their individual mobile phone offer quickly and easily. For example, it enables them to easily define how many SIM cards, call minutes or end devices they need and how high the data volume should be. Based on these and other details, the total offer is calculated for the customer - directly including all possible discounts. In the experience of O2 Business, the bottom line is an unbeatably low overall price, with a savings potential of up to 40 percent compared to the competition.

Service through personal contact person

It is not without reason that the business customer service of O2 Business has already received several awards in the past. It is also this high service quality that distinguishes O2 Business from its competitors. In addition, there will in future be a personal contact person for each individual business customer - regardless of company size, turnover or number of contracts. O2 Business will thus once again increase service quality and customer experience and set a strong signal for customer orientation in the German business customer market.

Convincing network

As the company behind the O2 brand, Telefónica Deutschland is making substantial investments in the future of the telecommunications industry, for example by expanding LTE or building the 5G network. The current results of the network tests by the specialist magazines Chip, Computer Bild and connect underline the good performance of the mobile network3. The company is already one of the market leaders in the implementation of 5G campus networks. At the same time, Telefónica Deutschland has been pushing ahead with its network expansion offensive at full speed for months. Currently, a new LTE station is commissioned or upgraded in the O2 network around every hour. Between January and December 2019, thousands of new stations were built and several million people were additionally supplied with LTE. In parallel with the LTE expansion, the company is starting to build a 5G network in cities, which will enable private and business customers to enjoy higher speeds, more capacity and intelligent networking of their digital devices in the future. In this way, the company intends to meet the steadily growing demand for mobile data and defend its urban market leadership. According to current planning, the roll-out of the new 5G mobile standard will begin in the first quarter of 2020, so that customers will be able to benefit from the new technology before the end of this year. The 5G roll-out will start in the five largest German cities of Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne and Frankfurt and is expected to be largely completed there by the end of 2021. By the end of 2022, 30 cities with a total of 16 million inhabitants should be covered.
