The Supervisory Board of Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG today elected Peter Löscher as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board. He has been a member of the company's Supervisory Board since April 1, 2020 by court appointment. His predecessor, Laura Abasolo García de Baquedano, had informed the company on February 3, 2020 that she was resigning from her office as member and as Chairman of the Supervisory Board with effect from the end of March 31, 2020. Peter Löscher brings extensive and relevant experience to Telefónica Deutschland. Among other things, he is chairman of the board of directors of Sulzer AG, Switzerland, and a non-executive (independent) member of the board of directors of Telefonica S.A., Spain, and is the former CEO of Siemens AG.
