In cooperation with O2, Sky presents the top match in the Liqui Moly Handball Bundesliga.
In cooperation with O2, Sky Sport will also present the top match in the german Liqui Moly Handball premier league between the SG Flensburg-Handewitt and Füchse Berlin on 10 November via O2 high-end 5G network. Thanks to flexible professional and Samsung smartphone cameras, the match will be followed up close on O2 super-fast 5G network and broadcast live on the Internet, among other things. In addition to the classic TV broadcast, the match will be available to all fans via stream on skysport.de and the Sky Sport YouTube channel. This means that the next European premiere is imminent: The latest 5G technology will be used for the top match. This will allow spectators to experience live handball in a particularly emotional way. The live broadcast is the first in Europe in a pure 5G network. After the successful 5G transmission last year, Sky Deutschland and O2 are making use of the diverse possibilities of the 5G mobile communications standard for an innovative sports production for the second time.

Four 5G smartphones and four professional 5G broadcast cameras provide a completely new game experience: All scenes are transmitted from the Flens Arena by O2 high-capacity network using the latest 5G technology in combination with Sky's wireless broadcast technology. As a result, viewers at home screens experience live handball in higher quality and from many additional perspectives. They are thus closer to the action than ever before. And: Via the pure 5G network, the exclusive recordings reach the viewers in real time from the home of the SG Flensburg-Handewitt near the Danish border. The augmented reality app from Wayra start-up Eyecandylab “5G Gipfel AR” provides a special experience for viewers with additional information about the game, for example about the squad or background information about the players. The app is available for the Android and iOS platforms.
