In perfect time for the summer holidays: Starting 1st August, O2 contract customers will be able to use the fast LTE network even when travelling abroad. The new LTE roaming will first be activated for popular holiday destinations such as Spain, France and the USA. Further countries will gradually follow suit over the course of the next months.

Telefónica Deutschland is harmonising the branding of its shops. In the future all shops will operate under the O2 brand. In the course of the migration, all BASE shops will be converted into O2 shops. The BASE brand will be marketed online.

Another super-smartphone is being launched to the market, and again the O2 Gurus are presenting it on the first day of sales in a video review. The refined Sony Xperia Z3+ has just been introduced, and Telefónica will be the first in Germany to have it on offer. Pre-sales start mid-June at O2 and BASE.
Telefónica in Germany is adding to its selection of tablets. Starting next week, the iPad will be available at O2 and BASE in seven different hardware versions and in three colours. The popular Apple tablet will be on offer in the first stores and online starting 27th May. Customers can choose from all of the current key models: iPad mini 3 and iPad Air 2 as well as iPad mini and iPad Air.
With immediate effect, customers in the O2 and E-Plus network benefit from a very good UMTS network. This week, Telefónica Deutschland completed its technical large-scale project as planned, with national roaming between the UMTS networks of O2 and E-Plus having been activated. By consequence, Telefónica now offers the densest UMTS coverage in urban regions, expanding it further in rural areas.
Starting today, O2 Car Connection provides several new and practical features. If the cost-based O2 Log Pro is booked, the popular solution for remote automotive diagnosis via smartphone app now also serves as a log documenting routes that have been made. If the user wishes, O2 Car Connection will provide special offers by selected partners, such as car service stations or insurances.

The winners of the O2 #MeinBusiness campaign have been determined: In February, small businesses and self-employed workers had been invited to introduce their businesses in Telefónica’s nationwide campaign. More than 370 participants sent in short videos and exceptional stories about their companies, gaining the chance to win an advertising campaign worth 20,000 Euros. LG has just presented its new highlight smartphone, which will of course also be on offer at Telefónica. The new LG G4 will hit the O2 and BASE shops at the beginning of June, with pre-orders starting even earlier, on 19th May. The best thing about the offer: The first customers to order will receive a microSD™ card with 64 gigabytes on top from O2. For free! The new Huawei P8 was introduced in London just one hour ago, but the O2 Gurus are already presenting their first video test. Starting mid-May, the new flagship smartphone will be available at O2 and BASE shops and can already be pre-ordered starting two weeks from now.
