MUNICH. Telefónica Germany and nfon now offer companies a complete cloud-based solution for all their business telephony needs. The Office Voice Cloud combines the fixed and mobile networks so that the features of a Private Branch Exchange (PBX) can also be used anywhere from a mobile phone. nfon is one of the leading providers of outsourced phone systems (IP Centrex) in Germany.
The cloud PBX is supplied by nfon and offers one particularly practical function: the seamless integration of the O2 mobile network via a VPN link provided by Telefónica Germany. It means that employees cannot only call each other free within the company, but also when they're out of the office on the O2 mobile network. All mobiles within a VPN group can be called for free via an extension number, just like the desk phones in the office. If they combine the hosted PBX with the all-network flatrates in the O2 on Business tariff, subscribers also benefit from free mobile calls to all German networks. Another advantage: investment in expensive hardware for the call system is not required since the cloud takes on all its functions.
"Cloud call systems are the future," says Marc Irmisch, Vice President Small & Medium Enterprises & SoHo Business at Telefónica Germany. "With Office Voice Cloud, which we offer in partnership with nfon, the PBX is outsourced to a redundant high performance datacentre. As a result, it is not only failsafe, but also always at the cutting edge of technology and clearly cheaper than conventional systems." The Office Voice Cloud combines cutting-edge technologies that go far beyond the capabilities of conventional phone systems. Subscribers have more than 100 high-end functions at their fingertips and can quickly make individual settings without technical skills in a web interface. The modern cloud solution is also easily scalable. New extensions are simply booked and do not require hardware installations. Automatic updates keep Office Voice Cloud always at the cutting edge, all at no extra cost. What's more, Office Voice Cloud comes with TÜV-certified voice quality and failure safety.
"Our call system gives also small companies a range of services that have so far been reserved for large corporations," says Jens Blomeyer, Managing Director Marketing at nfon. "The success of our solution, though, is assured by superlative reliability and voice encryption, and the high voice quality that we have certified regularly by the TÜV." The virtual system is marketed by nfon. A phone extension in the full version costs 6.80 Euros net a month. The accompanying mobile tariffs are billed by Telefónica Germany. For example, the O2 on Business S tariff is a flat rate for calls to all German networks, including a data flat rate, for just 19 Euros net a month. Office Voice Cloud features free calls between the cloud call system and its mobile phones in the O2 network. To provide this function, a VPN link from Telefónica Germany is included - and is free if five or more mobile contracts are taken out.
