New fixed-line solution for business customers:Voice Access SIP for telephone systems
Telefónica in Germany has presented its new fixed-line telephony solution for business customers: Voice Access SIP provides small and medium-sized businesses with flexible, scalable connections for telephone systems based on the approved Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). Thanks to this technology, calls are no longer processed via conventional ISDN, but via a modern broadband connection.
Voice Access SIP offers business customers a reliable solution at reasonable conditions that prepares them perfectly for future requirements. The survey “Business Insights 2015” by mm customer strategy has shown that 74 percent of medium-sized businesses in Germany still use ISDN systems or even analogue technology for their fixed-line calls. These transmission routes, however, will be disconnected soon. By changing to a SIP system connection, on the other hand, businesses process their calls via an IP connection. However, in order to maintain quality of voice as well as security, voice traffic is not transmitted via the public internet. This further enables companies to run only one central telephone system and to connect further locations via a virtual private network (VPN). Separate phone lines in other branch offices are no longer required, saving costs for installation, operation, maintenance and administration.
Flexible and low-cost: Free calls to the O2 network
Voice Access SIP provides business customers with future-proof telephony at outstanding quality of voice and at particularly attractive terms. Once the business starts growing, additional voice channels for calls can be added flexibly, easily and in no time. With Voice Access SIP, all calls to the O2 mobile and fixed-line network are free of charge at all times. This way, field workers as well as other staff with private O2 contracts can be incorporated at particularly low cost. Voice Access SIP will be available from 1st April 2015. It can be combined in various ways with the other innovative Telefónica business solutions, such as mobile communication with O2 Unite or the telephone system of the future, Digital Phone by O2. This way, Voice Access SIP adapts perfectly to customers’ individual needs and reliably bridges the gap between mobile communication, fixed-line communication and cloud telephone systems.
