Winners of the 5. mobile phone clip competition "Ohrenblick mal!" honoured
MUNICH. The winners of this year's mobile phone clip competition "Ohrenblick mal!" ("Listen a sec!") have been announced. The first prize went to Ralph Andrykowski and Martin Holst from the grammar school Meiendorf in Hamburg for their entry called "recording". More young people than ever had participated this year: 128 clips were submitted. The competition took place for the fifth time already and is organised by the JFF - Institute for Media Education in Research and Practice in cooperation with LizzyNet and Jugend Online and supported by Telefónica O2 Germany. The motto of this year's competition was "Nah dran!" ("Get close!").
Within the scope of "Ohrenblick mal!" young people between 12 and 25 years of age across Germany get the chance to shoot short and inventive video clips on their mobile phone and present them on the internet on www.ohrenblick.de. The winning clip "recording" was created in fine arts lessons and shows a normal day from the perspective of a mobile phone. "The makers managed to put daily perspectives into an exciting and short story captivating the audience by good camera angles", says jury member Günther Anfang from the JFF. Lilli Parthum from the Medienwerkstatt Potsdam came second with her video "Von Mund zu Mund" ("From mouth to mouth"). The jury of media designers, educators, media artists and journalists was enthused about the young people's ideas and the creative realisation of the video clips. A special prize about the topic "fünf" ("five") was presented to young people from the SOS-Berufsausbildungszentrum Nuremberg for their clip "Die fünfte Überraschung" ("The fifth surprise"). Roland Kuntze, Director Corporate Responsibility for Telefónica O2 Germany: "The support of 'Ohrenblick mal!' is an integral part of our commitment to train young people in dealing responsibly with the mobile phone and internet. In addition to the competition 'Ohrenblick mal!' we also support the JFF in school projects and on information evenings for parents and teachers about media competence."
