O2 expands its advertising offers on mobile portals

MUNICH. Telefónica O2 Germany is expanding its advertising offer on the company's mobile portals. Based on the new Adserver technology provided by U.S. company Amobee Media Systems, one of the leading worldwide providers of mobile marketing solutions, advertisements specifically tailored to target groups can be placed on the mobile portals of O2. The new offer reduces coverage losses and builds on a high quality data base. The system has also been launched in Telefónica's O2 businesses in UK, Ireland and Czech Republic as well as in Spain, Mexico, Argentine and Chile and will start globally in the remaining Telefónica markets by year-end.

Advertising messages via SMS or MMS are only sent to customers who have given their explicit consent beforehand. O2 will continue to expand the company's advertising offers for businesses and provide new advertising formats, including new models like In-Application Advertising.
