"Let the sun shine": O2 and wetter.com launch a new prepaid offer for mobile Internet

MUNICH. Telefónica O2 Germany and the online weather service wetter.com are launching the new wetter.com Sonnenscheintarif just in time for the start of summer in Germany. With attractive daily and monthly flatrates and a low-cost Internet stick, this offer is ideal for both occasional and frequent surfers.
No matter what kind of location, at the lake, the open air swimming pool or the café around the corner: those who want to surf the Internet with their laptops while out and about this summer one of three new flexible data tariffs to choose from: the daily flatrate, the monthly flatrate 500 or the monthly flatrate 5000. The daily flatrate is ideal for occasional surfers who only need mobile Internet access on individual days. Three free days are being offered at the moment, and once these have been used up, surfers can enjoy unlimited mobile Internet access for an entire calendar day for just 2.95 euros. Frequent surfers who want to access the Internet more often while on the go can choose the monthly flatrate 500 for just 9.95 euros a month. And if that's not enough, frequent surfers who download large amounts of data can choose the monthly flatrate 5000. For just 24.95 euros a month surfers can enjoy a data volume of 5 GB at extremely high speeds - once this volume has been used up, unlimited surfing continues via GPRS. The data limits for the other tariffs are 1 GB (daily flatrate) and 500 MB (monthly flatrate 500). The required hardware is also available with the wetter.com Sonnenscheintarif: the wetter.com Internet stick, which installs itself automatically once plugged into a USB port on the laptop. And thanks to HSDPA support, surfing speeds of up to 3.6 MBit/s are possible. As an introductory offer, the Internet stick is available for 29.95 euros until 4th October. Credit for the wetter.com Sonnenscheintarif can be topped up easily using an O2 prepaid card or via direct debit or bank transfer. The tariff has no minimum contract term and no minimum monthly volume.
