"Ohrenblick mal!" mobile phone clip competition
Young people from Neubiberg win
MUNICH. The winners of the sixth "Ohrenblick mal!" mobile phone clip competition are being honoured in Munich today. This year, participants were once again asked to "get up close" with their mobile phones. The entry "A matter of opinion" by Neubiberg Grammar School won through against 129 clips.
The mobile phone clip competition is aimed at young people between the ages of 10 and 20. It is organised by the Institut für Medienpädagogik in Forschung und Praxis (Institute for Media Education in Research and Practice - JFF) in cooperation with Jugend Online (Young People Online) and supported by Telefónica O2 Germany. LizzyNet and medien+bildung.com are both partners. This year's winning clip "A matter of opinion" is a love story told from the perspective of a mobile phone that lies in a drawer. "We were impressed with the idea as well as its musical and dramatic realisation", said jury member Günther Anfang from JFF. Meiendorf Grammar School from Hamburg claimed second place with the video "Umbrella". The jury was particularly enthusiastic about the perspective of the clip - from the viewpoint of an umbrella. Special prizes on the theme of "You and your neighbours" went to the medien+bildung.com project with the clip "My neighbour at school, maths work and me" and the Crossmediatour project by the Medienkulturzentrum Dresden (Media Culture Centre Dresden) with the clip "A house full of music".
Dr. Roland Kuntze, Head of Corporate Responsibility at Telefónica O2 Germany: "We support 'Ohrenblick mal!' to promote the responsible use of mobile phones and the Internet. Media competence has been part of our activities in the area of corporate responsibility for years."

|The Institut für Medienpädagogik in Forschung und Praxis (Institute for Media Education in Research and Practice - JFF) was founded in 1949 and has been concerned with the relationship that up-and-coming generations have with the media in both research and educational practice ever since. A specific aim of JFF is the linking of research and practice: the results of research form the basis for educational models in cultural and educational work with children and young people. In turn, the scientific side gains important momentum from practical educational work. Telefónica O2 Germany GmbH & Co.
