"Digital shop windows" are new to the telecommunication industry: Powerful projectors show presentations in HD quality on the shop window panes. And what's more, the special laser technology responds to touch. Passersby are offered information interactively, for example about the range of smartphones available. They can zoom in on specific models and rotate them however they want. The concept also provides additional information about devices and enables users to try out different apps, making it a very special experience for every audience.
"Interactivity is important to our customers. A digital shop window is for many people the highlight of their shopping trip", says Andreea Prange, Vice President Channel Management at Telefónica Germany. "They feel perfectly at home in the open support atmosphere of our new shop concept".
Shop employees will use tablet PCs in future when talking to customers. They can use the handy devices to give customers even clearer presentations of products and tariffs. Customer advisors will have all the information they need readily available on their tablets. So it won't matter if a customer is interested in landline solutions in the comfortably furnished living room corner of the shop, or in a more formal consultation in the business corner, or in simply playing about with different smartphones to find the best personal fit. It will even be possible to conclude contracts with a digital signature directly on the tablet.
