Paying conveniently by mobile phone: Telefónica Germany cooperates with Zong

MUNICH/Germany. Telefónica Germany and Zong, a PayPal service and a leading provider of payments through mobile carrier billing, announced today that mobile customers of Telefónica brand O2 can pay for digital and virtual goods directly via the Zong platform. Purchases are paid for conveniently on the next mobile phone bill.
The new partnership gives O2 customers yet another secure mobile payment option. The Zong platform makes shopping across more than a thousand online merchants - including Facebook, IMVU and Habbo - easier and faster.

Customers will soon be able to make mobile payments with many more partners in a couple of clicks - no credit card or bank account required. To identify themselves, consumers just need to enter their mobile phone number. After that, the PIN sent by SMS has to be confirmed - and that's all. You don't need to register specially or share additional personal details. "We are thrilled to be working with Telefónica.
