Telefónica Digital:Peter Rampling to head up Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia
LONDON/ MUNICH. Peter Rampling will be heading up Telefónica Digital in Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Managing Director of Digital position was newly created to work even more closely with the national subsidiaries of Telefónica in Central Europe. He will become a member of the Telefónica Digital Europe Board reporting to Michael Duncan, CEO of Telefónica Digital Europe, and he will also be a member of Telefónica Germany's board reporting to René Schuster, CEO of Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG.
Peter Rampling has served as Managing Director of Marketing at Telefónica in Germany since 2010. During this time he was responsible for marketing the O2 brand and associated products in the consumer market. With his team he has driven the data groove and smartphone success of Telefónica in Germany. He was also involved in the integration of HanseNet. Prior to that he worked for Telefónica UK overseeing, among other areas, the consumer and small business customer bases.
