The same price for town and country
O2 LTE for home is just as good and affordable as DSL
MUNICH. Telefónica Germany is making high-speed Internet even more attractive in rural regions. Starting on 5 October, new customers of O2 LTE for home will get their first year of broadband Internet for just 14.90 euros per month. Furthermore, in case of the continuation of the contract, the regular price per month will be 39.90 euros. The promotion runs through to the end of 2011. The new LTE mobile telecommunications technology is especially suited to regions where fast and stable Internet access is hard to get.
In addition to the price, Telefónica Germany is also reducing the minimum contract term. Starting on 5 October it will be just 12 months. Along with a four-week test period, during which customers can cancel the contract at any time, this tariff is the perfect introductory offer. Customers can thus try the high LTE bandwidth for themselves without making a long-term commitment. O2 LTE for home is a data flatrate with transfer speeds of up to 7.2 megabits per second.
"O2 LTE for home is priced the same as our most affordable DSL flatrate Alice light," says Peter Rampling, Managing Director Marketing at Telefónica Germany. "It gives our customers especially attractive broadband offers at fair prices, regardless of whether they surf with LTE or DSL. In this way, Telefónica Germany is supporting the federal government's broadband initiative to supply all of Germany with fast and affordable broadband connections." Information on the new offer is available at http://o2.de/lte, or by calling the hotline on 0800-3030011 or contacting the O2 sales teams in their community. The new price for O2 LTE for home also applies to the business customer offer for freelancers, the self-employed and small businesses, and goes by the same name. Further information about the relevance of LTE and about the future of the networks will also be discussed in the next presentation of the Telefónica Germany CEO: On September 14, René Schuster speaks at the 7th Forum of Hasso Plattner Ventures "Meaningful Investments" at 11 am about "Networks of the future - enabling the digital age".
