O2 launches new flat rates for mobile Internet

MUNICH. Starting on May 5, Telefónica O2 Germany offers a new tailored product for mobile surfing. The Internet-Pack-M is optimal for mobile phone users who want to forget about costs while being able to go and surf at a flat rate. The brand-new O2 Internet Dayflat for the prepaid surfstick is the right choice for customers who want flexibility while surfing the Internet.
With the new Internet-Pack-M, contract and prepaid customers alike can benefit from a mobile data flat rate option at 10 Euros per month. They can use the full HSDPA speed up to a data volume of 200 MB; beyond this volume, they can continue surfing at the GPRS level at no extra cost. This mobile offering is the perfect solution for anyone who wants to surf, twitter, use an Instant Messenger or do social networking while being on the move. In conjunction with an Internet phone such as the new Samsung Android I7500 phone that has already been announced by O2 or the Toshiba TG01, this makes for a perfect mobile surfing experience. With the O2 Internet Dayflat, O2 has a new offering that enables flexible surfing. The O2 prepaid surfstick is a perfect solution for customers who only need temporary access to the Internet. For only 3.50 Euros, they can browse the Web for a full calendar day. Beyond a data transfer volume of 1 GB, the speed is limited to the GPRS bandwidth. The O2 Internet Dayflat is valid until midnight on the respective day. At the same time, O2 extends its O2 surfstick test campaign. Customers who book the surfstick offfer with the Internet-Pack-L by May 31 and are not satisfied with the product may simply return the surfstick during the first month of the contract without giving reason.
