Thorsten Haeser new Managing Director Private Customer Sales
MUNICH. Telefónica O2 Germany announced Thorsten Haeser as new member of the management board. From 1st May on, the 41-year-old new Managing Director Consumer Sales will be responsible for the private customer sales. He reports to CEO René Schuster.
"With his long-time experience in sales and after his great success in establishing the partner business, Thorsten Haeser will now promote our consumer sales just as successful", says René Schuster. With about 1.5 million new customers in the past year, Telefónica O2 Germany is the most rapidly growing mobile provider in Germany. As Vice President from the end of 2009 on, Thorsten Haeser was in charge of the consumer sales. His responsibilities include about 1.000 O2 Shops all over Germany, indirect sales as well as the online consumer portal www.o2.de. The jurist is working at Telefónica O2 Germany since 1998, where he built up the Wholesale & Strategic Partnerships division. As Vice President Partner Management from 2005 on, Haeser was responsible for the successful cooperation with Tchibo, HanseNet, Kabel Deutschland, Schlecker, M-Net, the service providers mobilcom-debitel and Drillisch as well as the establishment of the captive discount brand Fonic.
