O2 products now available in all stores of Real

MUNICH. Telefónica O2 Germany is going to expand its sales network by a partnership with self-service warehouse chain Real. From May 2010 on customers will be able to buy O2 products at attractive prices at all German branches of Real. To begin with, O2 o prepaid cards, the successful rate that comes with no basic charge or minimum contract term, and O2 prepaid surf sticks will be offered. The O2 prepaid cards to top up credits are still available at Real. It gives customers the opportunity to buy O2 telecommunication products at more shops with even greater ease.
"Real is a strong retail partner for us and expands the sales channels for our core brand O2," says Thorsten Haeser, Director Consumer Sales at Telefónica O2 Germany. "Our customers have the advantage of buying our telecommunication products while making their daily purchases." Real already successfully markets products from Fonic, Telefónica's discount brand. As the first self-service warehouse retailer in Germany, Real is now adding rates and products for mobile internet from O2 to its range. Being part of the METRO Group, it has around 330 stores throughout Germany. Telefónica O2 Germany has about 1,000 shops in Germany.
