Protection pack for O2 My Handy: Better to be on the safe side

MUNICH. Telefónica O2 Germany is now offering a simple solution for stolen or damaged iPhones: the O2 L protection pack provides a comprehensive insurance package for the iPhone in the event of damage or loss. For all other mobile phones, the company offers the O2 S and M protection packs. The deals are not subject to any minimum contract terms and can be terminated on a monthly basis.
The O2 insurance can be taken up without any cumbersome paperwork and provides fast and unbureaucratic telephone assistance: for only ten euros per month, the L protection pack for the iPhone includes insurance against damage1) resulting from proper use and moisture as well as theft. In addition, it covers unauthorised calls up to 2,000 euros. The excess in the event of damage is 60 euros. The M pack is suitable for all other mobile phones. It costs 7 euros per month and provides additional cover in the event of loss. The excess in the event of damage is just 30 euros. The S pack is available for only 5 euros per month. This policy also includes an excess of 30 euros, but does not cover loss or pickpocketing. In addition, it covers unauthorised calls up to 500 euros. Irrespective of which package the customer chooses - The claim will be processed by 4 p.m. and the customer will receive a replacement device the following workday by courier. This offer applies to the purchase of a mobile phone with the O2 My Handy monthly instalment option, but can also be purchased with all other tariffs.
