O2 launches publicity campaign for business customers
MUNICH. Business customers rely on Telefónica Germany's competence in mobile communication and hosting. This can be seen in the new O2 publicity campaign: the company is advertising with renowned reference customers such as Zalando, Pro Sieben, Citroën or MTU Aero Engines. The starting shot for the largest business customer campaign in the company's history goes off on 27 June.
In the telecommunications industry the O2 brand stands for high-quality offers and one of the most modern networks in Europe. Business customers particularly value this. Telefónica Germany is investing heavily in its business sector and has won many well-known companies as customers in recent years. The campaign aimed at decision makers is highlighting these achievements with print announcements, online advertisements and interesting out-of-home actions. With an investment volume of several million Euros, it is the largest O2 campaign for the business customer segment up until now. But instead of putting the focus on itself, O2 offers customers like Pro Sieben, Zalando, MTU Aero Engines and Citroën a platform for the implementation of their special services or products. The advertising motifs describe Telefónica Germany's mobile communication services or hosting environment.
"Communication moves the world. This is why we have strongly expanded our offers for business customers and continuously adapted to the needs of companies in recent years," said Johannes Pruchnow, Managing Director Business at Telefónica Germany. "Our campaign shows how communication via O2 has helped our customers' business progress." Airports will become the stage for the reference customers' grand entrance. O2 Business will advertise in extraordinary locations such as the enormous FAC glass bridge in Frankfurt Airport or the Ad Walk in Düsseldorf. During the campaign, innovative response methods such as QR codes will also be used: only photograph these small symbols on the adverts with a smartphone, and the campaign's mobile website opens. Business customers from different industries will present their success stories in texts and videos there. "Our initial tests showed that our advertising motifs and the refined response methods were very well received," said Tim Alexander, Vice President Brand Management Telefónica Germany. "Social Media, QR codes and original out-of-home measures give us various possibilities for arranging the campaign." Until the end of the year, different motifs in print advertising and on large surfaces will show why companies trust in O2's business solutions. Advertising banners on the Internet, as well as videos on YouTube and social media campaigns with XING, Twitter and Facebook will accompany the launch. Telefónica Germany developed the concept and creation in collaboration with the advertising agency VCCP. Zenithmedia is responsible for the media strategy as well as campaign planning, and the digital agency Interone is providing the online campaign, the landing page and the mobile website.
