Sponsoring and Venture Capital in enable2start business start-up competition

MUNICH. Telefónica Germany congratulates the winners of the enable2start business start-up competition. The young entrepreneurs at Munich Composites, DerGugl, ergobag, orderbird and Qmilch are not only glad to receive seed funding of 50,000 Euros for each firm. This year the long-term sponsor Telefónica Germany is topping that up.
The winners also have the opportunity to present their projects at a pitch for Telefónica S. A.'s worldwide Venture Capital Programme. In addition each of the five winners will be given a start-up package worth up to 5,000 Euros: the O2 on Business tariff and a solution from the O2 portfolio that fits their business concept. enable2start was initiated five years ago by Financial Times Deutschland (FTD) and the Centre for Innovation and Business Creation at Munich Technical University (UnternehmerTUM). Since then the competition winners have created 300 jobs and now turn over more than 20 million Euros. enable2start is regarded as the biggest business start-up prize in Europe. The panel of judges includes René Schuster, CEO of Telefónica Germany, which with its Business Customer division is a tried and trusted associate for entrepreneurs.

"Telefónica provides venture capital funding and gives away attractive start-up packages. enable2start is the perfect platform for young businessmen building the companies of the future from their creative business concepts."
