The customers' lives become more and more digital word. Due to this, the user behavior and the needs of the customers are subject to constant change. Be it online, retail, hotline, social media - already today, the customers select the ideal channel depending on their needs. Meanwhile most O2 customers get their information on the internet about a product or service. Afterwards many customers visit an O2 shop in order to get more background details or a hands-on and then either conclude the purchase or have themselves consulted in detail. The hotline und the support on the website as well as in social networks are consequently further important places to go in case of questions. "In this multi-channel system retail still is of great importance. But the main task of the future shop is changing," says John McGuigan, Chief Service & Sales Officer at Telefónica in Germany. "The focus will be placed much more on counseling and customer experience than on sales. That's why we have developed a totally new and dynamic shop-concept with our new O2 Concept Store, which will adapt continuously to our customers' needs."
At the new O2 Live Concept Store costumers experience what possibilities are offered to them by the digital world with its products and services. Daily workshops, panels, concerts and special theme events, such as for gaming, music, fashion or fitness aim to motivate for exchange. Furthermore, Telefónica presents its own exciting projects that deal with the digital future. This includes the worldwide startup program Wayra, the youth funding initiatives Think Big and Think Think Big School but also Campus Party, the biggest technology festival in the world.
