Video review and pre-sales announcement: Sony Xperia Z3+ exclusively at O2 and BASE
Another super-smartphone is being launched to the market, and again the O2 Gurus are presenting it on the first day of sales in a video review. The refined Sony Xperia Z3+ has just been introduced, and Telefónica will be the first in Germany to have it on offer. Pre-sales start mid-June at O2 and BASE.
As a digital mobile communication provider, Telefónica in Germany aims to optimally support the modern digital lifestyle of its customers. With hardware as attractive as the Sony Xperia Z3+ with Android 5.0.2 and matching tariffs, customers can experience the mobile world at its best. The fast mobile networks of Telefónica make it possible: With LTE HSPA+ turning it into a remote control for every-day life, the new Sony Xperia Z3+ is more than just handy to have. Differences between mobile and static usage of data services are becoming indistinct. After all, via LTE, even listening to the radio on the internet or streaming a video are possible on the go.
Until 20th July: Available only at O2 and BASE
The offer is exclusive: During the first three weeks after Sony starts its sales in Germany, the Sony Xperia Z3+ will only be obtainable from Telefónica. Until 20th June, it will be on offer exclusively at O2 and BASE. The colour variations available are black and white, which add to the elegant touch of the high-quality aluminium design. Its name says it all: The Sony Xperia Z3+ is an improved version of its greatly successful predecessor, which was introduced last year and has been refined in many ways: The device is now slightly smaller at 6.9 instead of 7.3 millimeters, and lighter by eight grammes. The ultra-sharp 5.2-inch display in full HD with its tremendous pixel density of 428 ppi, as well as the front camera for pictures with 20.7 megapixels and videos in 4k have been maintained. However, the processor, in particular, has been improved: Snapdragon 810 is a great deal more powerful than the previous one used in the Sony Xperia Z3, while consuming less energy.
Snapdragon 810: More power and less battery consumption
These advances have been made possible by the new architecture with eight CPU cores and 64-bit support. Four of the cores are clocked at 2 gigahertz, but for most usages only the four energy-saving cores are applied. This saves a lot of the new smartphone’s battery, which is supposed to be able to run for two days on one power load. The internal storage has been doubled from 16 to 32 gigabytes, providing more than enough space for photos, videos and apps. And yet, Sony sticks to a tried and tested feature, which an increasing number of smartphone users have to do without: The brand new Sony Xperia Z3+ has a slot for a microSD card with 128 gigabytes, which more and more smartphone manufacturers have recently to omitted. What seems merely a slight improvement to its predecessor in fact turns out to be the greatest advancement of the sony Xperia Z3+: The micro-USB hub is now accessible without obstruction. Formerly, it was protected against dust and water by a little hatch, which had to be opened in order to attach data or power cords. This is now a great deal easier. Yet, the Sony Xperia Z3+, just as the previous model, is protected against dust and water by the rigid IP65 and IP68 standards. This even allows for 30 minutes in up to 1.5-meters deep water. Just the smartphone you need for your summer holidays!
