The service is now available for all customers in Germany.
Telefónica in Germany follows the vision of becoming the leading digital telecommunication provider in Germany. On its way to reaching this goal, the company is dedicated to backing future growth markets like Mobile Payment. A significant component of this is payment with mobile phone billing. Buying apps, games or music has become just as common as making phone calls or sending text messages.

How it works: Making payments with mobile phone billing

No registration is necessary in order to make purchases with O2 mobile phone billing. O2 customers only need to have a new or existing Apple ID, and select “Mobile Phone” as their payment method from their account settings on Apple Music, the iTunes Store, App Store or iBooks Store from their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or from iTunes on their Mac or PC. Once Mobile Phone Billing has been selected, all future purchases with the customer's Apple ID will be automatically charged as part of the monthly bill or directly deducted from the customers’ prepaid account. No personal information will be shared with any third parties, making mobile phone billing both simple and safe to set up and use.

Service not only available for O2 customers

Customers of other Telefónica brands including FONIC or Tchibo mobil can also use payment with mobile phone billing for Apple Music, iTunes, App Store and iBooks Store purchases.
