The editors of connect, the trade magazine for telecommunications, awarded the innovation prize for mobile telecommunication tariffs to Telefónica O2 Germany within the scope of the annual readers' choice awards. The tariff revolution O2 o introduced by the company at the beginning of May was selected the "Innovation of the Year" for its transparency, simplicity and orientation to customer requirements.
"Being awarded the innovation prize by the editors of connect just one week after the launch proves that our concept is right on track for the market. Based on a new tariff concept, O2 o will revolutionize the mobile telecommunications market", emphasized Lutz Schüler, Managing Director Marketing and Sales, Telefónica O2 Germany, at the awards ceremony in Stuttgart. According to the editors of connect, the launch of O2 o demonstrates that the Munich-based company understands the requirements of customers and consistently implements them. The strong commitment to customer requirements was awarded with the innovation prize by the editors. This award is only granted for groundbreaking innovations. O2 also scored among connect readers. Almost 21,000 participants in the survey voted O2 among the best three in the categories network of the year, mobile data flat rate, mobile voice flat rate and prepaid card. The connect readers' choice takes place once a year and is the most important prize on the German telecommunications market awarded by readers.
