New top model available from O2 DSL:FRITZ!Box 7270
MUNICH. O2 is expanding its DSL router portfolio as of 15 December: the FRITZ!Box 7270 now offers even more options and power for the home network. The universal device combines fax functionality, network memory, a DECT base station, an answering machine and a media server in one tool and connects to home computers and smartphones via superfast WLAN. New and signed customers purchase the router for € 99.99 instead of € 249.00 (recommended retail price).
The FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7270 is the current flagship of the popular router family provided by AVM and was just voted DSL Product of the Year by readers of the trade magazine funkschau. The support of the new WLAN standard 802.11n enables extremely speedy mobile data transmissions of up to 300 MBit/s. An integrated DECT base station ensures the direct connection of up to six handsets without additional base station. As a matter of course, the device integrates fax functionality and an answering machine. The home network is further enhanced by providing the option of wireless printing and a multimedia server feature. The FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7270, which can be individually optimised for power consumption thanks to the eco mode, complements the existing router portfolio of O2. The O2 DSL Router Classic continues to be a free component of all DSL packages and the O2 DSL Router Premium is available at a price of only € 29.99 instead of € 39.99. O2 DSL is extremely low priced at present. Until 20 January, new customers will not have to pay the basic fee during the first four months if they order online. Customers who migrate to the test winner of the DSL network test conducted by the magazine connect (12/2009) will save up to € 140.
