After the first seven months:1 million O2 o customers

MUNICH. Already seven months after Telefónica O2 Germany launched its radically simplified portfolio which the company reduced to three voice tariffs, they are now counting 1 million O2 o customers. The O2 o tariff was initiated as an innovation and represents flexibility, transparency and certainty of costs.
"The success of O2 o is a definite affirmation of our strategy of focusing on a simple and clearly structured tariff concept", says Lutz Schueler, Managing Director Marketing & Sales of Telefónica O2 Germany. "Already 1 million customers trust our comprehensible tariff without complicated explanations and footnotes." O2 o offers flexibility, transparency and certainty. The tariff is provided without minimum contract term, minimum sales volume and monthly basic fee. Calls and text messages consistently cost 15 Cents a minute to all German fixed and mobile networks. The O2 cost airbag provided in combination with the tariff is unique. After a monthly sales volume of 60 Euros for calls and text messages, the cost airbag changes the tariff to an all-network flat rate for voice and text messages for the rest of the month. Customers who make lesser calls will only pay what they actually use. Based on the transparency, simplicity and strong customer orientation, O2 o was awarded the connect innovation award "Tariff Innovation of the Year" by the readers of the connect magazine in May 2009.
