MUNICH. Effective immediately, prepaid customers of Telefónica O2 Germany are able to comfortably top up their credit with mpass - simply, anytime and securely. The only prerequisite for the new payment method: a German bank account.
mpass is free and available online anytime. After registration under, the address and bank account must be entered and a personal PIN number be defined. It will be just as easy for users to top up the credit on their mobile phones in the future: recharging the prepaid credit is just a mouse click away. The payment service provides double security on the internet and on mobile phones: After entering the online PIN number the user receives a confirmation via text message on the mobile before the chosen amount will be credited to the mobile and debited by direct debit. A credit card is not required for mpass. For purchases on the internet, O2 has offered the payment service together with Vodafone since 2008. All mobile phone owners in Germany can pay with mpass in affiliated online shops. Among other things, they benefit from campaigns and special offers. The new option for purchasing credit for prepaid products is now expanding the offer for O2 customers.
