A birthday present for everybody:O2 o is reducing its cost airbag to 50 euros

-O2 o one of the cheapest all network flat rates
-Automatic adjustment for existing customers
-O2 o can be combined with a fixed network number
-First payout of the O2 o loyalty bonus
MUNICH. Just in time for its first birthday, Telefónica O2 Germany is taking another step towards aligning its O2 o tariff with the needs of its customers. The company will be reducing the O2 cost airbag from 60 to 50 euros on May 11, 2010. Existing customers will be switched over automatically. Thanks to the new, optional fixed network numbers, O2 o customers can now be reached more cheaply when they are at home.
By lowering the O2 cost airbag to 50 euros, O2 o has become one of the cheapest all network flat rates in the German market for telephone calls and text messages - without a minimum contract period and without a basic monthly charge. And the best bit: those who make fewer calls pay less, those who make no calls pay nothing at all! Each standard national minute or text message to all fixed and mobile networks costs only 15 cents. Those who are willing to change and bring their own number with them will also receive a bonus of 50 euros from O2 if they register by June 30. "We radically simplified our portfolio of tariffs one year ago and have set new standards in the German market with O2 o", said René Schuster, CEO of Telefónica O2 Germany. "In 2009 we were the fastes growing telecommunications company in Germany. And the new O2 o tariff concept contributed significantly to this." O2 o customers will also be able to order a fixed network number for just 5 euros a month from May 11. O2 is therefore catering to the needs of numerous customers who want low-cost fixed network availability. A one-off allocation fee of 15 euros is charged for the service, which applies within a radius of two kilometres from the predefined address. Everyone within this area can be called at low fixed network prices. Flexibility is still provided, however: the fixed network number can be activated simply and quickly via the customer hotline and can also be cancelled on a monthly basis. Exactly one year ago, O2 put an end to the tariff "jungle" and set new standards in the market with O2 o, and customers who have been there from the very beginning will receive their first O2 o integrated loyalty bonus in May. More than one million mobile phone users chose the new tariff during the first seven months following the market launch. Awards such as the "Tarif-Siegel" from teltarif.de and the "connect Innovationspreis 2009" confirm its success.
