MUNICH. Telefónica O2 Germany joins with YOC AG to found a club for advert-financed mobile telephony: The NetzClub calling plan, with a free flatrate for mobile Internet, is a first on the German market.
And it's that easy: Customers register on the NetzClub portal www.netzclub.net and create a profile according to their individual preferences. From then onwards they receive regular, personalised marketing offers from NetzClub marketing partners on their mobile phone. In exchange for this, they can call, send text messages, or surf the Internet for free over the O2 network. The marketing areas are determined on an individual basis according to the user's profile. In order to renew this mobile subscription rate, customers must respond once a month to one of the special marketing offers by text message or on the Internet, by simply clicking on the offer. There are three free prepaid calling plans to choose from: Handy Internet Flat for unlimited Internet surfing, 100 free minutes for calls to any German networks, or the 'Kombitarif 30' with 30 free calling minutes and 30 text messages to any German network as well as 30 MB of free mobile surfing. Once the free components have been exhausted or for additional calling minutes or text messages beyond the Handy Flat, a fee of just 11 cents per minute or per text message to all networks or 24 cents per MB for mobile Internet usage is charged. With NetzClub, there is no minimum turnover, no basic fee, and no minimum length of contract. Even the SIM card is free. Remaining credit will be refunded if the contract is terminated. YOC AG is Europe's leading mobile marketing provider and our partner for marketing the NetzClub product as well as for ad-sales, i.e., any sales made in conjunction with special mobile advertising offers. O2 is responsible for the mobile calling plans and customer service.
