The best of both worlds: the Community Flatrate connects O2 and Alice product benefits

HAMBURG. On 2 September Telefónica O2 Germany and Alice will be launching their first joint offer: the Community Flatrate combines an Alice DSL landline with up to five German O2 mobile connections, which can all make unlimited calls between one another.
It additionally enables free phone calls from the Alice landline to the entire German O2 mobile network. "With the Alice Community Flatrate, our customers benefit from the best of both worlds: the competencies of O2 as one of the leading mobile service providers and the strengths of Alice in the landline and DSL sectors," says Lutz Schüler, CEO of HanseNet. Offer for O2 mobile customers The Community Flatrate offer can be booked by all O2 mobile customers who order an Alice DSL product. In order to take advantage of the Community benefit, the "Community Flatrate" option must be booked when ordering an Alice DSL connection. Furthermore, all O2 mobile connections must run under one customer account. As a result, all calls between the Alice DSL connection and the five mobile connections are free of charge, as are all phone calls from the Alice landline number to all O2 mobile customers. All customers also benefit here from Alice Unify, as calls between Alice customers are always free of charge. O2 mobile customers who order an Alice DSL (Light, Fun or Comfort) connection by 31 December 2010 and book the Community Flatrate along with it will permanently save on the basic monthly charge of 4.90 euros. Phone calls usually between family members The Community Flatrate is ideal for anyone who wants to stay in close contact with their partner or family members without constantly having to think about the costs. According to a representative Ipsos study commissioned by Alice (July 2010), most telephone calls are made between family members. Half of those surveyed (50.1 percent) indicated that they spoke with their family members at least once a day, and some 36 percent make at least one phone call to their partner per day. The Community Flatrate is also available for Alice DSL and existing O2 mobile customers when they conclude an O2 mobile contract and an Alice DSL contract at the same time. Further information on the Alice Community Flatrate, as well as ordering options is available in all O2 shops as well as by phone by calling the Alice Customer Hotline at 0800/4110411, toll-free for German landlines.
