It doesn't matter whether a customer is in Germany or in Turkey - the cost of phoning, texting and surfing the mobile Internet will stay low. Three different tariffs are available to choose from, and each of them has been tailored to the different needs of customers. "Now there's just one card for all your mobile calls," says René Schuster, CEO of Telefónica Germany. "Our new joint tariff will surprise the market. It is now possible to make calls to and from Turkey and within Germany at a very attractive price - and all of this with just one SIM card."
Hakam Kanafani
Emphasizing Türk Telekom Group's position as a regional brand, Türk Telekom Group CEO Hakam Kanafani said that this strategic cooperation with Telefónica Germany is part of Türk Telekom Group's continuing 'smart expansion' strategy. Noting that Türk Telekom Mobile is the second project launched with Telefónica Germany after the introduction of Alice Dünyam in 2010, Mr. Kanafani continued: "We take great pleasure in deepening our cooperation with one of the leading telecommunication companies in the world, and look forward to drawing on each other's experience in various strategic areas. We are always impressed with the German's Telco market and we are eager to showcase part of our Turkish ingenuity and creative services."
The new tariff is available as a prepaid version. The version without package costs 5 cents per SMS or per minute for phone calls to German and Turkish landlines as well as to the O2 and Türk Telekom subsidiary Avea networks. The monthly package provides the same service as a flatrate. Depending on the per-minute billing package chosen for phone calls and text messages outside of the Türk Telekom network, a monthly package either costs 20 Euros (100 minutes included) or 30 Euros (300 minutes included). For mobile Internet, a fee of 30 cents per megabyte applies to all tariffs within Germany and Turkey.

And there's another way to save in Turkey. Customers who use the widespread "TTNET WiFi" network with over 8,000 WiFi internet hotspots get 600 minutes a month absolutely free. All incoming calls from Germany are also free while subscribers are in Turkey. Customers also have the practical option of being able to sign up for a tailored text messaging package or Internet flatrate. Even soccer fans have something to look forward to: with a special add-on package, they can keep up-to-date on the results of the 1. (Süper Lig) and 2. Turkish Lig. This new telephone tariff is available now and is distributed via partners that are specialists in addressing the Turkish population resident in Germany.
