Teleconferencing with iPhone app

The new mobile O2 Conference Service from Telefónica Germany

MUNICH. Retrieve PIN, invite participants, hold conference: The iPhone app for the O2 Conference Service makes team conferences over the phone extremely easy. The new mobile version of the conference solution is now available for free as download from the App Store.
Starting now, the iPhone app can be used by existing clients of the O2 Conference Service and new users. It does not even require a visit to the O2 website, since you can register directly through the app. The software will ask for your name, e-mail address and mobile number. After registering, clients receive an e-mail with a personal identification number (PIN) for the conference chair and other participants.
"Our new app for the O2 Conference Service is particularly suited to businesspeople who travel often," explains Johannes Pruchnow, Managing Director Business at Telefónica Germany. "Teleconferences can now also be spontaneously organised via a few clicks on the iPhone."" Conference participants are selected by clicking from the iPhone address book or by manually entering the numbers. Invitations are sent either by e-mail or SMS. Predefined texts, which already include the access information, simplify this task. Accepted invitations are automatically applied to the iPhone calendar. To begin the meeting, all you have to do is press the "Start Conference" button. The app is ready for download at www.telefonica.de/o2Conf. Further information about the O2 Conference Service is available at www.o2conferenceservice.de.
