New mobile internet campaign
MUNICH. The waiting finally comes to an end: From 13 October, mobile phone fans will be able to enjoy the new Palm Pre. The accompanying autumn and winter campaign does not only support the launch of the smartphone, but also presents the mini notebook Asus EeePC which has been included in O2's portfolio and the brand-new model of the O2 surfstick. Following the successful teaser campaign the mobile telecommunications provider will start the advertising campaign on TV, in print media, online, out-of-home media and social media in time for the launch of Palm Pre. The 360-degree campaign was created in cooperation with VCCP Berlin, smartin advertising, Plan.Net concept and the media agency Mindshare. Radical Media is responsible for the implementation of the TV commercial based on the creative concept "Hands".
The campaign will be launched on 13 October: Viewers will see the new O2 products in TV commercials, advertisements, on banners and billboards. The campaign is focused on the new smartphone Palm Pre. In addition, O2 is expanding its portfolio by including the mini notebook Asus EeePC and a new edition of the O2 surfstick. These products provide the perfect equipment for being online anytime and anywhere. The fingers elegantly touch over the new Palm Pre to change between various applications: The short TV commercials show the added value of the new products in everyday situations from a point-of-view perspective presenting Palm Pre, the mini notebook Asus EeePC and the O2 surfstick. The pivotal message of the short TV commercials is that the mobile web can become the easiest and most natural thing in the world for everybody with the adequate equipment. "We are providing some examples to explain the benefits and demonstrate several practical applications facilitating the use of the mobile web for our customers", says André Schloemer, Vice President Brand Management for Telefónica O2 Germany. "The short TV commercials present the products which make the web very easily accessible to everybody who is on the road."
