At its meeting on October 28, 2025, the Supervisory Board of Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG decided on a succession plan for its Partner and Wholesale business. Jörg Kablitz will join the Management Board of O2 Telefónica as “Chief Partner & Wholesale Officer” by latest April 1, 2026. The company bundles in this unit its business with partners such as Branded Resellers, Mobile Virtual Network Operators and Service Providers, as well as carrier services and new, innovative business models. Jörg Kablitz brings with him extensive expertise in digital business models and partner management from his previous management roles. In his future role at O2 Telefónica, the business graduate will succeed Board member Alfons Lösing, whose Board contract is scheduled to end on March 31, 2026 due to an age regulation. After his tenure on the board of O2 Telefónica, he will turn to new professional challenges. Until then, Alfons Lösing and Jörg Kablitz will work together to ensure a seamless transition of responsibilities and thus prepare the business unit for further growth and a strengthened future viability. The partner business is a central pillar of O2 Telefónica in Germany. The division is the largest of its kind in the German telecommunications market. Here, O2 Telefónica and its partners develop innovative products and services by building new, integrated business models. In this approach, both consumers and business customers are addressed as target groups. The business unit also includes the so-called Wholebuy business with fixed broadband services (such as fibre optics, VDSL, cable), the further development of digital processes & services and the Carrier Services & Roaming division for the entire brand and partner portfolio of O2 Telefónica in Germany.

Jörg Kablitz was most recently Managing Director for the payment service provider PayPal in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In his ten years with the company, he has managed and developed PayPal's cooperations with large companies and partners, among other things. Previously, the manager worked at management consultancy Accenture and seven years at the telecommunications company Vodafone, where he headed strategic partner management, among other things. Alfons Lösing has been a member of the Board of Management of O2 Telefónica since 2017, responsible for the business around partnerships and innovative business models. Previously, Alfons Lösing was Managing Director of the E-Plus Group, where he was responsible for partner models, cooperations, tariffs, products, fixed broadband, carrier services and roaming as Chief Wholesale Officer. He joined E-Plus in 1993, the year it was founded, and built up the Wholesale & Partnering division in the early 2000s with a multi-brand strategy that was unique at the time. For more than 32 years, Alfons Lösing has shaped the partner and wholesale business in the German telecommunications market like no other, first at E-Plus and then at O2 Telefónica.
