O2 Telefónica expands strategic agreement with Capgemini to support its digital transformation towards an AI-first company

With the new agreement, Capgemini will now play a key role in transforming O2 Telefónica into an “AI first” company in the coming years
The telecommunications company O2 Telefónica and the global AI-powered business and technology transformation company, Capgemini, are expanding their strategic agreement in Germany. Under this new long-term agreement, Capgemini will support the implementation of O2 Telefónica’s comprehensive AI strategy.

The agreement is intended to significantly accelerate the development of AI use cases. This includes faster prototyping, iterative development, and the rapid deployment of impactful AI solutions across various business areas throughout the organization. Specifically, O2 Telefónica aims to further enhance its customer experience. In addition, the company plans to build a comprehensive portfolio of AI services and products for business customers, such as AI-based cybersecurity solutions. Capgemini’s AI-powered solutions, tailored for the telecommunications sector, will help O2 Telefónica to reshape both its business model and the entire value chain.
