Telefónica Deutschland:Andreas Laukenmann becomes new Chief Consumer Officer (CCO) at O2 Telefónica
Experienced telecommunications expert completes the Management Board of Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG Today the Supervisory Board of Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG has appointed telecommunications expert Andreas Laukenmann as the future Chief Consumer Officer (CCO) and member of the Management Board of Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG. Laukenmann will thus assume responsibility for the O2 brand and all other own brands at Germany's mobile provider with the most customers.

In 2021, Telefónica Deutschland completed with annual revenues of 7.8 billion euros, 7,400 employees and around 46 million mobile customers the most successful financial year in the company's history to date.

Andreas Laukenmann will take over the CCO role at Telefónica Deutschland from CEO Markus Haas, who has led the CCO department on an interim basis since June 2022. Andreas Laukenmann comes from the telecommunications company Vodafone, where he has been responsible for the private customer business as Managing Director on the Executive Board since 2019. Andreas Laukenmann worked for Vodafone for a total of 18 years, among others in the Czech Republic and at the former fixed network subsidiary Arcor. Before that, the graduate computer scientist worked for the consulting companies "Diamond Cluster", "Booz Allen & Hamilton", and "Ernst & Young". "It is both a pleasure and an incentive for me to lead such a strong brand as O2 in the future and to become part of the Management Board of Telefónica Deutschland. In recent years, the O2 team has shown what opportunities the German telecommunications market offers: both in terms of customer growth and exemplary service for customers," said Andreas Laukenmann. He will assume his duties as the new CCO of Telefónica Deutschland as soon as possible. The O2 brand has been present on the German market for more than 20 years and has repeatedly positioned itself as a driver of innovations during this time. Whereas in the beginning there were offers such as Homezone, more recently there have been tariffs such as O2 Unlimited, O2 my Home or, for the twentieth anniversary, the O2 Grow tariff, where the data volume grows along with it. The Omnichannel and Customer Service & Sales areas of O2 achieve top marks in terms of customer satisfaction in the annual external assessments. Recently, the O2 team revived the successful slogan "O2 can do" with a high-profile advertising campaign.
